Gamecock Basketball

The Gamecocks played Kentucky Thursday night.  They were hoping for another upset but fell way short of an upset.  Number 2 Kentucky beat the Gamecocks 82-61.  With that lost the Gamecocks are 14-13 and 5-8 in the SEC.  The Gamecocks were able to keep the game in reach most of the first quarter then slowly fell behind more and more.

Saturday night the Gamecocks played Mississippi State.  They were upset at home 76-63.  The Gamecocks are no 14-14 and 5-9 in the SEC.  This is the fifth time they have lost in a row.  It is not looking good for the Gamecocks in March.  They are going to have to win the SEC tournament to even get a look at the NIT Tournament.
